So How do you get ahold of the guys @ JP for comments and stuff i mean i dont have all day so i wish there were a quick link somewhere to tell these guys what losers and perverts they are for showing pictures of such "Big Axles" and "Tight Wet Transmissions" , "Hot Steamy Turbos" , "Blown Big Blocks" (oops that was Hot Rod mag sorry) anyways you get my point. but maybe they need to make a new JP a cross Between Jeeps and Maxim models, ya know Hot Hot ladies in scantely clad clothing climbing around the roll cage of a Jeep pointing out every sinfully good detail. Maybe then more people will be interested in jeeps and less about bitching. Its only one semi-good looking girl with nice bolt ons in the back of an off-road mag. Believe me im always interested in bolt ons. SO TELL HER TO LINE UP SOME FRIENDS AND PUT ABOUT 10 PAGES OF CHICKS WITH JEEPS in the back of the mag.
Thanks, Thean
P.S. can someone forward this to the editors Thanks | Oh yeah this was also seen in 4wheel and offroad, im computer illiterate sorry.

both! I love the fact that they put good looking girls in the mag. i also love reading the mailbag column about how some disgruntled stuck in the closet man is showing his feminine side and bitching about how the girls in the mag look better than his old ladie, is that primedias problem? i doubt it. it kinda sounds personal.
The ONE fact i dont like is that their tech articles could be a lil more technical. or maybe since most of us cant afford to have our jeeps built, put in a tool column that highlights the tools you & i will use and maybe how to use them effectively like a tubing bender & a shoot out comparing different models, plasma cutter shoot out compare these too, maybe something on how to use AutoCad Inventor to help lay out your jeep or engineer parts. it just would be nice if they would show a little more detail than how to R&I a tranny or motor or transfer case. they have to fab tabs so show people how to, not just, "hey i have yj springs and im fabing them onto my flattie" (with pic. of before and after, How the hell are they hanging there did the flattie come with mounts for yj springs from the factory?) maybe they should show the route taken like how to build the perch's on the rails. because im quite shure the people reading this mag are more into building there own tabs, laying out their own suspension and doing the rudemential labor portion of things. thats what makes their jeep or "Krawler" so cool. anyways thats my *** otherwise i like the mag and i love their immature humor i hope they keep that!

If I wanted girls in my magazines, Id go buy girly magazines. I buy JP for jeeps. Pretty simple really. I can no longer buy issues because I have young children in my house. The editors need to realize that everyone in the Jeeping community isn't 20. I love seeing the truly hard core rigs, but they also don't have enough real world tech. Luckily there are alternatives out there that have enough jeep tech to keep me happy. After seeing the latest direction as of the last few years, I simply let my subscription stop, and only pick up an issue if it has an article that applies to my jeep. I miss the old days of JP when they focused more on the jeep culture, and less on college humor. Like I said to start with, if I want girls in my magazines, I get a different magazine. Take a clue from Hot Rod magazine. Good content, and editors sell issues.

i agree with lilgreen about the content. i want a magazine that will help me with my jeep not one to look a girls. if they want to show girls then they should start a new magazine called jeep chicks or some thing like that. they should keep jp all about jeeps, nothing else.

Alot of what has been said here is true. Enough of the college humor. This month's issue said the average age of people buying Wranglers is 44. I agree. Having just returned from the Catskill Mountains Jeep Jamboree in Monticello, New York, the age group was mostly older folks. Also, alot of negative talk about JP's direction since Rick Pewe left. More articles on "Real World Jeeps". The Farm Rigs are very cool, but not on my budget. Besides, most are trailered jeeps that don't see the pavement. The editors need to show some responsibility. It just gives us a bad image with those who don't understand this great vehicle we drive. I've tried getting my TJ in the magazine. An original story. I own a modified "Work Jeep", a definite throw-back to the Willys era of work jeeps. They didn't seem interested. Guess once I slap in a pair of Rockwells, I might get a call. Bring back the old mag...and editors.

See thats the other thing. Im trying to convice my wife that Jeeping is about more than being a drunken redneck. Some of the latest content in the mag doesn't help at all. At least those I wheel with are mature enough to help keep the image and reality of the sport above the crude level.

I always wonder why the PPL at the mags(not just this one) Seem the think that most, if not all of their readership have tons of money and huge Home garages filled with every tool you'll ever need. That we can go out at anytime and drop 10,000(or more) into and brand new jeep. DO all the work ourselfs and then wheel the #### out of it like it only cost 500 !! LOL.
I have to save up for a year just to put a cheap 3" lift and 31's on my truck this comeing spring, then I have to PAY a REAL garage to put it on. I realize alot of ppl like to do as much as they can to their rigs at home(me too) but sometimes you just donot have the tools or the time etc.
My point is that for every reader who's got tons of money and parts in their TRAIL ONLY rig there's at least 1000 more guys like you and me who use our jeeps for dailly drivers/camping/fishing trips with the family etc. This is the type of build ups I'd like to see in the mag. Sure throw in some 75,ooo dollar rock crawler from time to time but keep in mind who IS BUYING this mag and keeping you (the ppl who make it) In a J O B.

I agree and disagree. I do get somewhat annoyed as far as the 50,000 dollar rigs go because I like most will never be able to afford it. However at the same time you have to remember alot of these vehicle have the newest trick parts and some interesting home made stuff that I can afford or am able to reproduce so it actually helps at the same time. And as far as girls and college humor in the rag goes. If you don't like don't read it. I mean come on say what you want about and wine as much as the want but when it comes down to it its there constintutional right to put whatever they want in their mag and seeings how that rights not going to change anytime soon get over it and move on. You goes are dwelling on something stupid and you can dwell on something better like I dunno world peace or tree hugging or something whatever suits your fancy. Although it is your right to pitch a *** about whatever you want so if it really makes you feel that much better do it. Besides alot about you guys say is kinda funny. Oh and JpEditor GIMME A JOB

what about the poor college student like me? i have to wait two years before i can buy a lift, and thats if i move out. i have a dad that worked on cars his whole life, he hates them now. what does that do for me? well i can't fix my car up? and even if he'd let me i wouldn't have the money! LOL.
and why do all the older folks need to rip on us younger kids. i mean like i said i am junior in college and i love the college humor. its called having a broad magazine that can get a target market of different ages.
i feel like a victim because a majority of the older folks seem to blame youngins like me on the fact that cappa put in bree or has some lude college comments...but i didn't point a gun to his head and make him do that...apparently the staff thought it would get more sales. well they're business men that's their job...apparently 99% of us readers keep the magazine because its a jeep magazine...so who cares about that stuff...
Cappa...the ONLY ONLY ONLY thing i wouls like to see more of is ZJs and i think 96 zj will agree with me, but if you dont want to thats cool...just keep writing the magazine the way it is and i'll keep buying
oh BTW the only way i stop buying the magazine is if it turns into an equvalent of import tuner magazine (the ones with ricers and hotties) i don't mind the girls but those cars are soooooo ugly...lol
see i am rambling this is what happens when i drink to much...
