I was wandering if anyone has put propane on a 258 I know several people running propane on v-8s but i've not seen it on a inline six. I have a problematic carter and am looking for a alternitive.

My understanding of the matter is it should work, just get the right sized "carb". Propane likes lots of compression, so you might want to shave the head.

one other thought that comes to me; I understand the ford 300 was used for a great deal of industrial aplications, you might get the right stuff from one of those.

I've had a change of heart . I came across a fuel injected 305 that I think I will rebuild . it also comes with a 700 so I'm going to get the adapter to my 300 and be done with it. thanks for ya input.

I don't blame ya. the idea of propane is cool, but I bet it would be a pain to get working right and to live with.
