I need To Be Locked Up
I hope there are some tranny guys out there, here we go
My 1999 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L6 2wd,tranny is a AW4, check engine light came on so after scanning with obds2 I have a po740 (torque converter clutch circuit malfunction),and the torque converter will not lockup rpm's are to high but shifts good 1st-4th and now something new after I have been driving for awhile one to 2 hours it has began to stall when I accelerate, once it starts stalling it run's fine below 2000 rpm but when you go over 2000 the engine stalls and if I shut It down for a couple minutes and restart It runs good for 15 to 20 minutes then stalls again could both of these be because of the po740 code or am I maybe looking at two different problems, I have no other codes just po740, started to check TCM voltages and resistance but I have a different connector than is shown in manual, and other sources for some reason I have a newer model TCM I have two rows of 13 connectors, where as all schematics show two rows of 16 connectors c1-c16 and d1-d16 need help bad please I am at my wits end, Can anyone tell me what the voltages and or the resistance should be on the TCM of a jeep Cherokee 2000 or later the TCM is a 26 pin as opposed to the earlier models which were a 32 pin thanks, I have already replaced the tranny solenoids, TPS,temp sending unit, checked every other sensor on the thing checked for dirty or bad connectors for vac. leeks, checked fuel pressure CHECKED EVERYTHING still the tcc will not lock up, going to check tranny fluid pressure and catalytic converter tomorrow but the darn thing runs good, I guess I'll drive until It falls out.any ideas out there. Thanks in advance.
