Hey Cappa, I guess I won't be renewing my subscription after finding out that my 03 Liberty is a garbage truck. You also might want to change the cover on your magazine to remove "all Jeeps". I will be subscribing to 4 Wheel Drive and off road today. I will probably get better info. for my Jeep there than from youre rag.

BRING BACK PEWE! HE IS A REAL JEEP GUY!

OK liberty owner did you know that the only reason that the liberty was made was to get more females to buy Jeeps.  Besides that to make room for the liberty they took the cherokee off the market...that just pisses me off about the liberty right there.

What does it matter what suspension it has? IT"S A  JEEP!

JP magazine is supposed to be ALL JEEPS!

What the hell is Cappa gonna do when all jeeps are independent suspension?

The point is this mag has gone downhill since Pewe left to do 4 WHEEL AND OFF ROAD.  (Juggy? getting chicks into your jeep?)

If you guys want to waste youre money on this rag that's your buisness. But I have to tell you this months FOUR WHEELER mag had more Jeep stuff than JP had in the last 3 issues.

FYI My Liberty is not my first Jeep. I have owned and enjoyed A Wrangler and an xj that i would still be driving if it were not for an accident. And to tell you the truth The liberty in stock form is just capable if not more capable than my old Jeeps.

Ya know, we said we wouldn't own one. That doesn't mean you can't. I actually have a long story about the Liberty and it's introduction. I'll tell it someday and I think some jaws will drop. Or not.

I now own a Liberty Renegade. I actually like this vehicle for many reasons: skid plates, tow hooks, impressive power and responsive engine. You guys continue to trash this vehicle. I thought this vehicle ran the Rubicon? I would still have my 2000 Cherokee Sport if not for an accident in, of all places, New Jersey. I miss that vehicle terrible, but am very enthusiastic about offroading with my current one. Don't you guys have anything POSITIVE to say about it?

My wife is running the new liberty crd!!   This engine kicks butt!!  The tranny is way too sloppy for me, and the mom wagon isn't for me!  If only the american consumer would wake up, then I could get my factory built rubicon with the crd & the six speed manual, but for anyone in the know, americans in general just don't like to drive, they see it as a pain, so most everything coming out of detroit is soft, spongy, and way too driver friendly(??), with all of the useless gizmology!!  I'll let my wife drive the liberty, she likes it, and I like the oil burner!!

Me?? I'll drive my rubi, and keep dreaming about my vintage Porsche!! now that is driving passion!!    later

The Liberty made my black list when the Cherokee got bumped only to be replaced by it...  Then again the Comanche getting bumped for the Dakota didn't earn any browny points with me either, but that's off target.

It's probably a great vehicle for commuter grinding, light offroading- in certain applications(They seem to suck the big one in mud), and chicks, but I still feel it walked away from it's roots.

I'm for changing the cover so it doesn't say 'all Jeeps', because just because it SAYS Jeep, doesn't mean it fits the bill for enthusiasts...  Seems I read something like that in a mag. somewhere.....

Yes but it's still new.. It will take time but you'll see more offroad parts for them in time. Did you know now you can get a 5.5 inch lift for them that fits 33's !!! I would say new axles would help though.

wow!   don't you guys care about the motor ?? like I said, that Benz Motori engine kicks ass!! and my babe is pulling 27 30 mpg's out of it. I can't wait till we can get the 6 speed manuals out of junkyards, along with the crd, as far as building one up, I can't get past the star wars look of the built one's. I'll stick with my real jeep, till they pry it from my cold dead butt.

AHH and that's my fault why??......I just read the mag that had it done in it. I'm sure with alittle triming 35"s would fit but would be too heavy maybe...who knows.

I'd be afraid to run 35's on that little thing, but I'm old fashioned minded.  I've seen so many IFS vehicles grenade half shafts running only 33" tires..  For me IFS over coimplicates something that can be much simpler.  Live axles worked just fine since the beginning of time, and as the old saying goes; "Don't fix it if it aint broke".

Besides the fact that I aint seen it yet, but I'm betting that 5.5" IFS lift costs a small fortune.  Now, ok- the CRD is a great little mill from what I've heard and seen, so for a fraction of the cost but more fabbing, convert the little Lib' to a live axle ride on 35's and then you'd have something  :-)

I'd love to have the bling to fit my Scrambler with one of those CRD's and the new 6 speed stick.  Can they run that new bio-diesel?
