I know it has probably been addressed many times here, but what is the easiest axle swap for a 97 TJ with stock 30, 35 axles?
Will a Cherokee axle fit without mods, and did all come with 44's?

The easiest would be to get some axels from Currie or another after market axel supplier. They weld all of the correct brackets on them. All you have to do is bolt them in.

i know currie makes good axles, but why pay that much for an axle you can get for half that brand new.go to your local dirt track store, and buy a winters 9inch rear end,its a full floater, can get full locker,spool,tru-track,etc for around 1500 all togeather.www.racemart.com had a speical going on for awhile might still have it,$399 for the 3rd member and $799 for the axle and shafts, they all run coils in rear,or can convert to whatever you want.they con in differnt sizes, the only draw back is that the pattern is 5x5,so rotating would be a little hassel,or just get spacers for the front that go from 5x4.5 to 5x5.still alot cheaper than what currie wants.
