I'm new here, and placed this subject in the engines group, sorry. I have a 1990 YJ with a 2.5/5 speed stick, running 31-10.50X15s through stock 4.10:1 axles. The engine has over 200,000 miles on it, and I will need to either rebuild or replace it in the future. I would like to find a 4.0 HO out of a cherokee sport in a junk yard, rebuild it, and stick it in the Wrangler. Since that size engine also came in the cherokee, how tough of a swap is it? I don't do anything off road with it except a LOT of desert driving in Texas and Arizona, and logging road driving in the mountains of New Mexico, will I need to switch axles? It has just enough chassis lift to clear the tires.   Brie
