I want to find out what axles and gear ratios I have in my '89 YJ

Hi, I would like to get parts to do a brake job on my 1989 Wrangler Islander and most of the sites I look for brake parts show different axles thus different part numbers. Where do I look for this information? I think I remember it being stamped on the axle housing somewhere. Does anyone know where and what I should look for to gather this info? This is my daily driver so I want to buy all the brake parts in advance so I have less of a chance of getting the thing torn apart to discover that I have some wrong parts. Especially here in Michigan where the temps just turned cold this week. LOL The older I get the less I enjoy cold weather. LOL Thanks in advance, Sam near Detroit
