Hey there, today I'm going to start my hood project.. It's going to be based off the "rockcrawler hood." It's going to be fiberglass with a molded in hood scoop, and fender flares attached right to it. If anybody has any ideas or maybe even pointers let me know!!

When working with fibeglass keep everything free of grease and all. When working on composites on aircraft we use powder free latex gloves and at the minimum a dust mask.

Thanks, I've done fiberglassing for years so I know the essentials. I was just wondering ideas for the hood itself and such. Thanks again though!

Maybe you could base the scoop off of a hood from carhoods.com?

you could paint it to look like carbon fiber to make the tuner crowd jealous

I finally have the base getting laid out. It's drying as I sit here! I've got to find a camera that works and the pics will be here soon!
