Is there a way to check a ring gear size on a stock Dana 30 front axle on on an 07 JK (Wrangler X)?  Seems there where two gearing options and as I bought the rig used and now need to replace the broken ring gear, I'd like to know what to replace it with.  I just need to get it mobile ATM; I plan on upgrading to a 44 as soon as funds allow.

the gear its self may have it stamped into it. or it may have 2 larger numbers, if it does divind the first one by the second for the ratio. also check both axles for a tag on the covers or tubes that may tell
"WHEN IN DOUBT TACH IT OUT!"

Awesome- I'll look over the tubes and any tags (didn't see any but wasn't looking that close) and I'll ck the gear onice I pull it out.

Thanks again!
