How to fit a D44 front axle

I just picked up a reverse rotation D44 for the front of my 87 YJ. It came off of a YJ, and should somewhat bolt right on. It has a spring over, which I am OK with, but I am curious as to what springs I should run if I want to clear 35” tires. I am not opposed to a little trimming, and I would like to keep my center of gravity as low as possible. Are there a good set of off the shelf springs, or should I have a custom set made? I need to figure out what to run in back as well. I have a Ford 9” in the back, spring under, and currently have a 4” Explorer Pro-Comp lift, 1” body lift, and maybe and extra ¾” on a set of boomerang shackles, all clearing 33” tires.
Also, the overall width of the D44 is about 4-5 inches wider than stock, and the wheel bolt pattern in 5x5½, and I have the stock 5x4½. Is there an easy way to change the bolt pattern? I don’t want to use spacers, because that will increase the width even more. I will have to do an upgrade to my 9” rear, which will involve new axles, so I could go with the same bolt pattern, but this would mean new rims, and more money. If I got new rims, could I go with a different offset to reduce the effect of the wider axle?
Lastly, I plan on going with a selectable locker up front, and I like the OX locker – would you recommend this? Just looking for an opinion.

For the spring mounting, if you're spring under now I'd keep it that way.  New spring perches are about $10 from summitracing.com if you have trouble saving the old ones while cutting them off.

As for the spacing and bolt pattern, you might look at purchasing a set of used 5 on 5.5 wheels and get wheel spacers/adapters for the rear axle.  If you get within 2" difference (1" each side) it will hardly be noticable.  Used wheels are usually very affordable and might also come with some worn out 35's you can use to get everything to fit.

I've had great success with ARB lockers, I have 6 of them and no problems.
