I'm looking for some (Cheap) replacement parts for my 07 Jeep JK, non-Rubicon.  I recently grenaded my Dana 30 ring gear and apparently broke a spider gear in my rear diff (Dana 44? not sure...)

Anyway, even though the traction control was stuck on in 4-wheel low for some reason, Jeep is claiming that the damage sustained was due to "abuse" (I didn't know that a blue square trail was abusive) and not covering it under warrantee, and given that I’m currently an unemployed PR guy, I don’t have the cash to upgrade the axles properly.

Does anyone out there in Jeep land have some spare stock parts that they’d be willing to part with?  I believe the ring gear in a stock Dana 30 is a 4.88, and if possible I want to install it without replacing the pinion (I don’t have that kind of skill).

Thanks to any and all that reply- I’m located in Southern California.

Hit up some local shops that work on Jeeps, I can think of a few in SoCal, and see if they have anything in the junk bin from guys that upgraded that they will part with for cheap. That's what I would do anyway.

good idea.  I'll start calling once I'm sure the warantee is no good (Still in discussions).

That may make for an interesting article.  What constitues "abuse" according to Jeep....
