Jeep TJ heat/AC switch issues Cure!

I can not take credit for this but it's great! If you only get high on your heat/AC control you need a new resistor. But the replacement Jeep one is junk! 5139719AA go with a HD Sebring replacement a direct swap! # 5174124AA I did it and it works great!

if you have the same issue on your cherokees, it is the same problem. i dont know yet if its the same part that will fix it though. still waiting on the answer. i will keep everyone informed.
**** 99 cherokee, stock engine and drivetrain. no lift with 30 x 9.5 wrangler GS/As costume tubular bumper and TJ fender flares with optronic off road lights on bumper

Sure, but eventually the switch itself melts. I bet if you pull out the switch it's already looking a little burnt.

Yeah mine completely melted. Had to repair with spade clips because Chrysler will only sell you a full dash wiring harness. Did the whole relay setup, now the relays run hot instead....Cheaper that way, but it sounds to me if you want to fix it properly, just replace the fan altogether when you fix the resistor.

i havnt the time or place to even check. i figured high is better than nothing and thats how it will probably stay until it goes completly
