it over heats but the head gasket looks good the water pump looks ok the radiator is new because the old one cracked still spews rust water all over engine bay I pulled the head I see nothing wrong with head gasket no burn through or rust through ??? 96 2 door Cherokee rock prodject or junk yard

Well Ican't seam to find a problem so I'll put back together and preasure test it should of done that first stupid me need to sale it too many prodjects not enough money

i agree check your theromostat just throw it in boiling water and watch to see if it opens if it does then thats good!
When was the last time you did a tune up? if it has been more then 50k i would replace the water pump regarless and go from there

right I jumped the gun .tune up I'm not sure I just rescued this one from a freak .It had a lift 31.5 superswampers the air worked and it ran like a Swiss watch
just needed a front drive shaft .I tried to get it then and was talking with an employee about it who went in and bought it out from under me . who then drove it into the ground and started parting it out.

so it pays to check the stupid stuff first you don't listen to the dummy selling it go with your gut and do some diag ...because of that it needs a water pump ....but I did get to remove the head and check my valves ang stuff.
