engine swap 2.8L GM TO 3.4LGM

I found a 96 V6 3.4L that came out from a chevy camaro, can this be a good swap? what would I need to install it on my 86 xj? have someone done this swap? thank you It would be awesome if someone helps me up.

It should be pretty much a bolt-in deal. If I remember right GM offered the 3.4L as a crate motor replacement for the problem-prone 2.8L V-6.

Can't say I've ever heard of that swap. Neat. If a 3.4L fits, why not a 4.3? Just curious.

The 4.3 is a totally different engine. Different bolt pattern, different accessory group...
