Hi,I just purchased a new 09 rubicon unlimited. I am having the dealership put a 3.5 short arm kit (procomp mx6 shocks) with BFG 305 km2s. I am not sure about this combination and wanted some input. Also some thought if the stock 410 gearing is suficiant. Thanks

Yes, you should have a gear change also. The V6 in the JK is not a good performer when it is bogged. Also, you'll need an aftermarket programmer to fix the tire size and gear ratio in the computer's parameters. And the drivshafts will not tolerate a lift for very long. You'll most likely need new driveshafts in the near future. The cv type shafts just can't be lifted.
As far as Pro Comp goes, there is a lot better stuff out there. AEV makes an inexpensive and really good programmer. Click Here for details. AEV also makes an outstanding JK lift that should be at the top off the list.

Thanks for the info.I read about that lift I think in this months issue of 4wheel drive. It turns out they are going with a 33.5. I forgot what he said the size was(I will get back to you).(so much to learn) .I know they are a little bigger than 33s.

Don't waste the time and money by only stepping up to a 33. That's only an inch bigger than stock. Three plus inches of lift, 4.56 minimum or 4.88 gears, 35" tires; that would be a perfect and not too wild setup. If it's not too late, really do look into the Nth Degree lift from AEV. They are head and shoulders above the rest.
