Front driveline rubbing during full sag

With my Rubicon lift my front driveline is rubbing on my transmission pan when the suspension sags out.  It works fine with the transmission pan spacers installed.  I want to run without spacer for added clearance.

My thought is to cut the pan for the clearance and take out the spacers. Does anyone know if the pan is strong enough to do this? Or have any other ideas?  Please keep in mind that I am on a tight budget.

Lots of guys just cut the mounting arm off next to the tranny skid. It's pretty well supported by the main t-case skid after the arm is cut off.

check your tranny mount and be sure the front axle is centered using an adjustable track bar the travel isn't the problem... I have 13" travel shocks currently and a busted tranny mount.

You think he really means "pan"? I assumed he was refering to the trans skid mounting arm that sits below the front drive shaft???

Not sure what he would mean by spacers if he was actually talking about the transmission "pan".

You have your arm cut off don't you?

I'm not totally sure what he means either, but the d shaft rubbing the pan is also a problem many have,

mine is cut off and is still plenty stong, haven't managed to dent the pan yet and it gets hammered...

photobucket is doing maintenance, I'll post a pic later..

Sorry for the misunderstanding.  I ment the skid pan under the transfer case. the spacers are your standard 1" transfer case / skid pan drop kit you get with most lift kits.  The driveline is rubbing on the pan when the spacers are out.
