I know this has been discussed 100's of times before but I cannot find the answer I am looking for. I just replaced my stock whimpy 215-75-15's with BFG 31 X 10.50's. I need to correct my speed by changing to the correct speedo gear. If I go by the charts I have found for a 3.73 with 31's it recommends a 33 tooth gear. The actual measured diameter of my tires is 29" which calls for a 35 tooth gear. Which one should I buy? Does anyone know where to find less expensive ones or used ones? Why has the price skyrocketed? Thank you,
Mike

With your normal tire air pressure and the weight of the Jeep on the tire, measure from the ground up to the center of the hub and then multiply by 2. This is the true diameter that should be used in any math.

The chart at Quadratec is accurate. Go with it. PartsMike.com has speedo gears and they have not upped their prices like Quadratec has.
