Don't know if this was covered before or not. Does anybody wonder what the military did with all their jeeps since going to the Hummers?

I'm guessing they were sold for surplus. But the military probably kept a lot of them around for a while. In Korea some of the old MB's would still be getting use. I beleive I read somewhere that the military keeps vehicles for minimun of 10 or so years before selling them as surplus to the public.

Sadly enough, lots of old mil vehicles got used as target practice! It's not pretty what an A-10 or F-16 can do to any vehicle.

From what I understand, anything that goes overseas can never come back. Basically due to critters and such catching a ride back. In Saudi Arabia, there is warehouses full of equipment just sitting around, because they can't bring them back.
