I have a 2005 TJ with stock 8"x15" rims with a 3" Teraflex suspension lift.

I am interested in putting on 33x10.50R15 Tires on it, but I am concerned that those tires may rub the front control arms when the steering wheel is turned all of the way to the side, because of the backspacing on the factory wheels.

I would really like to continue to use the factory wheels; I think that they have a 5.5" backspacing.

Does anyone have any experience with this or a similar setup?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

Used to run that size tire & wheel on my 02 TJ.  I have a 4" Pro Comp suspension lift and a 1" body lift.   Tires only touched the sway bar at max turn and max flex.  I never found that to be problematic.
There are no stupid questions but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots.

i got 31" x 10 1/2"  on a 99 tj with a 2" budget boost. slight rub at full turn, no biggie. if you want, just get a set of 1 1/4" spacers.
