please help me with this

i have a 1999 jeep cherokee xj 4.0 5 speed 4x4 i blew the rear output shaft seal in it so 35 dollars later and a bottle of atf that the dealer gave me to replace the fluid i lost i went to go pull out of my road i was taking a right hand turn and it will crunch and grind in 2 wheel drive ive checked the front driveshaft and both front tire universal joints and there fine when i put it in 4 high and let the clutch out it does it constant even going strait but when i put it in 4 low it only does it when i turn right but as soon as i straiten the wheel its fine i have atleast 4 things on my mind that it could be its either the transfer chain its stretched and its skipping teeth the front ends gone the right side hub is gone or the whole transfer im lost on what it is and i dont want to start ripping things apart just because im not sure what it is can anyone help me pinpoint the issue
