I have a 2005 TJ with stock 8"x15" rims with a 3" Teraflex suspension lift.

I am interested in putting on 33x10.50R15 Tires on it, but I am concerned that those tires may rub the front control arms when the steering wheel is turned all of the way to the side, because of the backspacing on the factory wheels.

I would really like to continue to use the factory wheels; I think that they have a 5.5" backspacing.

Does anyone have any experience with this or a similar setup?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

With only 2" spacers I run 33x12.5's on my stock rims. I installed 1.5" wheel spacers to keep the ties off the control arms and coil buckets. THe narrower tires might fit fine, or just need spacers which shouldn't break the bank. Good luck! (and now you reminded me that I've been meaning to pull wheels and check spacer lugs, thanks!)
