Has anybody ran either or both of these tires? What does everybody thing of them? I've narrowed my tire search down to these two, but can't choose. They are both the same price and size I want. They will be a winter tire, mainly snow, driven offroad. The procomp is studable, so that might be advantage, not sure. The km 2 is so new I'm having trouble finding people that have actually ran them in deep snow. O they are going on a 97 tj if it matters. What u thing?

I currently run Pro Comp MTs (35x12.5x15) on my 02 TJ. Great tire. What is snow?
There are no stupid questions but there are a lot of inquisitive idiots.

You will see very similar performance from both mud tires in the snow. However, the BFG sidewall is stouter if that is of any concern to you. For ice, The Pro Comp will just barely edge out the BFG. But in reality, neither would be my first choice on the ice...unless they are studded.

my wife ran kumho KL71 in the snow on her xj. we live up a hill around a corner and she could make it up in 2wd. the bfg mt i had to do it in 4wd. needless to say i put my procomp xterrains back on. her next jeep she wants the kumhos again, and they are very quiet for a mt.

Just curious is the KL71 a directional tire? And if so how do they work in reverse?

yes it is a didectional tire. i never ran them in reverse.every review i read on them before i bought then was good. they did everything i wanted them to do. having the wife driving around with a new born and a 4 year old i new they would be a good safe. they are very quiet witch she was disapointed about, because she wanted the mt noise. they are a good all around tire no matter what you throw at them.
