Ok im getting ready to rip out my 42 rle automatic after 36000 in an 05 tj (sad but true)  and im gonna convert over to a 5 speed.  I already have the tranny and its about the same length about 1/2" difference.  I know I will need to swap the nv231 input shaft to a 21 spline. What I dont know and need help on is as follows.

1) Is it safe to assume that the crankshaft position sensor will work on the opposite side of the bell housing?

2) Is the  manual flywheel going to be compatible with the crankshaft position sensor and ecu

3) Does anyone know where I can find how or which wires to use for the reverse sensor

4) Will my Jeep even start if it doesnt detect a transmission present

5) For a clutch linkage do I need one for a 2005(same as my Jeep) or one for the year of the tranny?

Any info would be great for insight as I would like to gather as much intel and parts I can prior to starting to minimize the down time as my auto still does drive with second gear and reverse(pretty messed up)
