Today I witnessed two jeeps that everyone rags on, tackle a few mild rock climbing trails and hang in there with vehicles that were much more capable in the mud. These two jeeps were the commander and the liberty. With some aftermarket support and these could be viable trail-rigs. Anyways, what type of testing and parameters are used to determine if a vehicle gets a "trail rated" badge?

I have to say, I was impressed with the stock capability of both vehicles. Driver skill goes a long way also, but still pretty capable in stock form.
I am awesome at breaking stuff....fixing it is another story!
