ok guys i need help with choosing between thornbirds or baja claws(or perhaps something better). just wondering which one will have longer tread life on the road. this is going to be a daily driver and on the hwy alot. at this point im even considering a A/T. i do however get into some occasional mud/swampy situations. does anyone have any personal experience with the pro comp xtreme A/T?? i know that no A/T compares to any M/T but given the hwy to mud ratio i need something with a good bit of tread life. the only reason i say pro comp A/T is because they look like they would perform ok in mud????? the thorbirds are free from a friend and the baja claws have always caught my eye.

i would go with the most aggressive tire of the 3, at's for the most part arent that good in heavy mud. keep in mind a jeep is so light  that a good set of radial tires should last a long time. from my experience as long as you can get past the tire howl anythings fine for the street

The Pro Comp Xtreme A/Ts are a good tire, and 4Wheel Parts usually has a sale once or twice a year when you can buy three and get the fourth free.  My advice would be to see what works on the trails in your area and ask your friends how they like the tires they are using in those conditions.  Maybe even go for a ride down the road with them and see if the noise is tolerable before you spend a bunch of money on tires.

maybe try cooper stt's. i had about 30,000 miles on mine and took them off and sold them for $120. out of the tires you mentioned, id go with the baja claws. i dont know why but i just dont really care for procomp tires.
