The LT1, LT4, LS1, etc fit better because the airintake comes in from the front of the engine.  If it's a top mount airfilter, you will have problems shutting the hood.  If the V8 is like a Grand Cherokee 5.2L where the air goes into the top but is fed from a box on the fender then you may have a chance.  Otherwise, you'll have to lower the engine like Novak suggests and risk hitting it with your front axle.  The other issue is the AC air compressor location.  If it's on the bottom, you'll have to knotch the unibody frame to get it to go between the rails or loose the compressor all together and only knotch where the dumby pulley sits.  The other option is to cut the hood to clear the airfilter.  Also, you may have to modify the fire wall to get enough clearance for the cooling system hoses and electric fans.

Fitting the engine is not your biggest challenge, keeping the V8 cool will be the issue.  BeCool aluminum radiator and 3 electric fans, two 10" and one 11" fan from Spal.  They are very expensive but the only fans that will get the required 3500 cfm to cool the V8.  Use any other fans and you're wasting your money.
