So I am in the Army and currently over in Iraq. Life is as good as life can be here, but I really miss my jeep and romping around upstate NY. I left my precious 2006 Rubicon Unlimited with a good friend so he could do some mods and drive it from time to time to keep it fresh. Yesterday when I got back to my room, I decided to open up Yahoo Messenger and get the latest on the mods my buddy had been doing. There were about 15 offline messages and as I read, I saw messages like"the bumper is going great", "almost finished" and then one that said"going to take it wheeling". The next message is the one that killed me. It said" I'm sorry". I was like what the hell and then I read the next message and got the surprise of a lifetime. It said "I rolled your Jeep" Panic set in and I finally got these pictures off our local club site.

Before the wreck my Jeep was pretty sweet. It's a 2006 Rubicon Unlimited with 6 inches of lift, 35" Baja Claws, Winch, Various Body upgrades. Sorry I don't have a before pic over here with me.

I guess I can consider this a great opportunity to do all those other mods I have been looking to do. Tube Fenders, 37's and I will finally install my RE Front Long Arms and Gen Right 4 Link in the rear.

I hope you enjoy the pictures

Aw man, I'm sorry. Looks like your buddy was farging around at speed and caught a rut. Stay positive, man. Unlike when my Dad was in Vietnam, it's been my experience people really come together to help when something goes south for one of you guys or gals overseas.  I'd wager if your friends are worth a mouse pizs they're already lining stuff up so your Jeep is more than 100% by the time you're back.

Best of luck and thanks.

It's all good. I am sure things will workout ok. Like I said, It's a great chance to build a better jeep. The plan was to put tube fenders on it anyway. I will just have a lot of work to do when I get home. A lot of guys from my club have volunteered to help fix it up. Plus it is my hope that my insurance company is going to cover it. I am working through that now. Before this happened I had already stockpiled a ton of stuff for when I get home. I have a Gen Right 4 Link setup for the rear and Rubicon Express long arms for the front. I have another buddy with a 4.7 stroker and 700R4 that we are putting in. I have Superior Moly axles front and rear, as well as lot's of other small goodies. It should be very sweet when I am done.

Well great news! USAA is pretty much the best insurance company ever. They have agreed to cover the wreck. I will be posting pictures in the near future of the rebirth of my rig
