I was planning on the Rubicon Experience next year..... Sad News. Leave it to Gov, to ruin everyone's fun.
Are the "Do Gooders" going to ban all of Natures Creatures from being on the Rubicon Trail? I hear the Long Horn Sheep do more damage than a Jeep. What about Lightning, Rainstorms, Rock Slides, and Earth Quakes? Has anyone really done a Study to measure the damage caused by Jeeps?

BTW; I saw the Pick Up Pic whom says; "It's faster than a Jeep"! Are you sure about that?

I just came from the Rubicon yesterday, we were scoping it out on foot to see what we would be up against next year. Being on foot we were able to see probably a little more of the damage done to the area. Lots of fecal matter, lots of toilette paper, lots of oil and small car parts. Considering the number of vehicles that use the trail the condition is pretty good, but, if we want to keep these areas open we must REALLY MAKE AN EFFORT. Any way possible. Even though we were on foot and I was suffereing from heatstroke or over effort ( read out of shape ) we packed out a good twenty pounds more stuff than we brought in ( on top of 50 lb packs ). The area is really rather heavily impacted, it will take a concerted effort by all users to keep this area the way it needs to stay ( and in turn open to vehicular use ). J.B.
