I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee with the stock wheels. My brakes went bad and coated the wheels with brake dust. I've tried Simple Green but the residue wont budge. Any ideas on a good cleaner or way to clean these without damaging the wheels? Appreciate the help.

I use the armor all wheel cleaner and have had no problems just follow the instructions. Most cleaners require the rim to be cool, spray product, scrub if necessary with soft bristle brush, and then rinse before the cleaner dries. Hope it helps.

try some oven cleaner and one of those dish sponges that are laying around. afterwards, put on a coat or two of wax to help with clean-ups
