Updating to Rotors/Disk brakes = 1972 CJ5

Hello,
I have a 1972 CJ5 which has the old braking system of drums. I would like to update to disk brakes. My questions is, what are all the parts that I need in order to replace my drums with the disks/rotors? Hubs, and what else? Or how do I need if they fit in the drive axle? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Discs from a '76-'81 CJ are a direct bolt on to your Dana 30. The '76-'78 are a little thicker disc and more sought after, but I don't think there's much of a difference. Just grab from the knuckle out and bolt them onto your '72 inner knuckle.
As for the rear, that cost some bigger bucks, and I'm not sure it would really be worth the expense. But the front will make a huge difference.

Thanks so much for your answer. Do you know if there is any of the jeep cherokee's that I could use a disk system brake from? or just the CJ's as specified by you. The reason I ask is I know where there is a salvage place with lots of cherokees but no CJs. Thank you again!

The CJ's are the only bolt-on salvage yard alternative. There are actually lots of alternatives, but they cost big bucks.
Just keep an eye on Craigslist. I see parting-out CJ's all the time.
