98 TJ soft top probelms. YJ frame??

I bought a 98 TJ a few weeks ago. The soft top was a little rough so I bought a new one. The new top will not attach to the frame. The old top that came off had a plastic strip that slid into a slot on the frame at the front and the new top is supposed to screw on, but there is no holes for the screws in the frame. Could this be a YJ top frame on a TJ? Here is a pic of the jeep and a picture of the top frame folded down showing the header where the front of the top is supposed to attach.

it may be an aftermarket frame, i think its a supertop, the slot will allow you to swap on a bikini top without undoing all the screws. www.bestop.com may be able to help
