I also have a 3.0 CRD GC. I live in Wyoming where the sale and use of this is legal. The $178 bill for the oil change ought to be a crime though. So I am currently installing Filtrations Solutions bypass filter (www.FS 2500.com). The unit is halfway installed on my jeep now. Am waiting for a new oil pressure sending unit to come in. There is an aluminum gasket in there that I dont wanna screw up by recretional removing and installing just to see what size it is. the only way to get the gasket is to order a new sending unit. Any way I'll try to post pics so you and the folks at Diesel Power can see it.

Yea. I know! 10 Qts of synthetic oil at $11 ea, $45 for the filter and i guess the rest is labor and tax! Even the Magazine guys had to pay $120 to do it thier own driveway!

Finally have it installed and working!!! was a pain to find the meteric to standard and back to meteric adaptors. The oil pressure sending unit is 12mm 1.5 thread. I put an adaptor into the port then ran a hose to a "T" fitting. put a std to meteric adaptor on one side to put the sending unit on, then ran the other side to the filter. the filter got mounted to the frame just under the air filter. This was the only place big enough and safe to mount it. Then I drilled a hole int the oil filler neck. then installed a bulkhead fitting and ran a hose from the filter to there. seems to have a little higher flow through it than I would like. no leaks yet!
