CJ 7 with 4cyl

hey guys,
i am getting back into off roading as a hobby and need some advice. i found a 1985 CJ 7 with a 4 cyl. it is pretty rusted out but runs good. i was wondering what you guys think a good price to pay for it would be. I used to wheel with 8 cyl but figure i could always swap down the road when money isnt as tight. i am on the low budget here. the seller is asking $2,000.

i guess it depends how "pretty rusted out" it is.

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE FRAME FOR CRACKS, AND AROUND THE STEERING BOX

it's all stock but from up north. i checked out the frame but will go back and check the steering box. thanks for the advice!
