Yesterday my friend bought a brand new 2009 Toyota Tacoma. It is loaded with electronic features I didn't even know existed. Bottom line, it is a beautiful truck. But after a few hours of riding in it in total comfort, we hadn't felt a bump in the road due to its silky smooth suspension, we hadn't had to raise our voices to communicate because there is virtually no cabin noise, and we hadn't for one second felt like we were driving in a truck.
We then stopped at his house to pick something up, and there sat his 93 Wrangler YJ in the driveway. I quickly said, "Let's take your Jeep out for a *** In case you're wondering, mt jeep was at home. He let me pull it out of the driveway, and the Jeep experience started before I even turned the key. The 3 foot step in height from the Rubicon Express 4.5inch lift and 35" Goodyears made me feel right at home. Then the stiff original seats that hurt to sit on did the same. The "old school" original 6cylinder hadn't been fired up in 3 to 4 weeks. 2 turns of the key brought the trusty motor right to life - the rumble of the Flowmaster and Hedman Header again made me smile. I nearly grinded the AX-15 into reverse and backed out of the driveway. As he went to climb into his driver seat I told him I was driving. I took off down the road, listening to the beautiful symphonmy of 6 Hedman collector tubes, 1 Flowmaster muffler, and 4 mud tires. I noticed the stock steering is overdue for a replacement. The acceleration was dismal compared to the Toyota. As he tried to turn the radio on, the simple, single CD head unit was not working. After not feeling a single bump in the Toyota, the leaf springs were making sure we felt every bump. After 15 years on the road, you can sure say there were a few rattles within the Jeep. I looked at him, raised my voice over the wind, and said, "Your new truck is nice and all, but I wouldn't trade this thing for any amount of cash." He agreed.

i hate riding in my daughters civic, i constantly hit my head getting in and out. not to mention that ya gotta step DOWN to get in and practically roll out when ya get out. i don't see how the low rider crowd does it.
