needed- one hair spray bottle one lighter one wheel/tire with broken bead
first jack up offending tire, spray liberal amount of spray into tire then stand far away and ignite burnable material with lighter and toss at tire viola tire should be back on bead
if i thought i saw it all just stand three rednecks side by side add beers then watch you may be amazed

Back when I was broke I used to carry a bicycle pump and a ratchet strap with me when I went wheeling. I could seat a 33-inch tire bead with them by myself.

Given the completely out of control costs of medical attention, isn't it way cheaper to buy a compressor or install OBA? But then the beers might be left out of the decision.

I've seen it done too. It works well, as long as you know what you are doing, somewhat. I've seem plenty of leg hair removed using this method... lol

i've done the ratchet strap method too. in fact, i had a tire go flat on my hand truck recently, so i figured "ha ha, lesson time for the boy!" i used this miniture version to show my son how to do this on a full size tire.

its not a trail fix but a few words of wisdom. i aired up a tire with some ether once, and when i put the valve core back in while the air was shooting out, it burned the living crap out of my entire thumb and index finger. be careful. now i use a Cheetah bead seater but usually in my garage.

I had a 76 F250 in high school with 44 Gumbos. I didn't jack it up to reseat the bead. Just sprayed & lit. I remember standing beside the drivers door when I threw the burning toilet paper. The rocker panel went up past my head as the truck rocked over. It hung there for a moment then came back down. Tire was on the bead & we were praising Gateway for a well built tire!!! I still feel I got real lucky that day. I used way to much ether. The tire was fully inflated & worm. LOL I've used this method many times since, but that day I almost bought the farm to go with the truck.

I seen this trick done a few times. Once I got to see the tire blown completly off the rim.
