I'm looking at an old jeep pickup that has a full floating what appears to be a Dana 60 in the rear-end.  The axle is the OEM so I was wondering if it is worth using for a swap into a CJ-7 or not.

Depends on the front that you want to use.

The FSJ will have 6 on 5.5 lugs and is in the area of 65" wide. The '76-'81 CJ width is 53" and the '82-'86 is 56". Both are 5 on 5.5 lugs.

So, if you want to match the front, it will need to be narrowed and have custom axles. Otherwise, if you like the full size width look, get the front also.
