tire problems??????????

ok he is the problem i have a 78 cj 7 dana 60 front and rear full width i have 4" skyjacker spring, SOA, 1.5 lift shackles, and a 2 inch body lift i am looking for tires and i don't no what size that i could clear it is pretty high i don't want to do to much trimming but i will do some. i have a set of 42x15x15 lined up but i don't no if they will be too big and advice thanks

I'd go more after the size that fits your gear ratio than the largest size you can stuff in there..

im not worried about my gears they are getting changed to 4.88
|

I doubt you'll be happy with anything less than 5.38's running 42" tires, especially if a 5 speed is in the plans or future.

i am running a t-18 and i don't see much road i had 37 with 3.73 and it was not too bad

Is it the original CJ T-18 with a 6.32 first gear? Or the earlier '70's CJ T-18 with the 4.02 first gear? Or some Ford T-18?
