I am rather new to the jeep thing.  I am unsure how much off road use I will be doing but I want to install some tow hooks on to my stock 99 TJ.  Can anyone give some useful advice as to the type of tow hooks to buy and where exactly they should be located on the vehicle?

Thank you thank you, that was so helpful.  Us idiots, me in particular could read and read for days, but that picture is worth a 1001 words.

if you dont have front tow hooks you can pick sum up like in the pic pretty cheap at an automotive store and install them in the factory holes on top the front bumper, you will need 4 3/4 inch bolts to hold them down
