been busy th e last couple days..
I noticed a missing u joint cap, which led to a front end over haul. I got er all jacked up and found a bunch of other problems. my right wheel bearing was wasted, both lower control arms ripped nearly completely off, the left side ball joints were loose, and the left stub shaft was wallowed out beyond repair..

heres a few in the process of repairing the brackets, I made with some scrap 1/8" tube, the torch, a grinder and a drill then welded em on.
scarfed off the old brackets..

old ones, and a new new one ready to weld on.

new going together..

I actually painted em too!
the first one i cut a little differently.

pulling the ball joint weren't as simple as hammering em out this time... I used some old bolt stock that was left over from a job i once had..
pull the three 12 point 13mm bolts..
pull the assymbly out all together.

hammer here... to drop the knuckle with a good sized hammer. it'll only take a couple good wacks on both joints..

my makshift puller.. then hammered in the new ones with a big socket.

I can alway count on sissy for all the help I need....

to bad I can't convince an automotive employer I know how to do these things,... they figure since I'm not certified or have a trade school certificate, I don't know what I'm doing.
an since its been 20 some years since I was last certified to weld flat and over head up to 1 1/2" thick.... I can't weld either!
