my jeep doesnt seem to have abs. was abs a factory option for 05 rubicons? the abs indicator does not light up when starting, and im missing all the electronics that i can recognize(relay and fuses). is there a reason someone would take all this out to disable abs, and would that work? this jeep seemed to be a commuter before i bought it, not a scratch! if all the hardware is there could i jsut pop in the electronics and enjoy the anti-locking brakes? thanks

Yeah if I'm not mistaken the only tj's that got the abs was the ones with the dana 35 rear axle.  My 04 sport with rear dana 44 has no abs.

well, i had the infamous 'death wobble' when i put on some very well used tires i bought off of someone, always happened around 50mph. but im pretty sure all this is my fault. long story short: i got stuck offroading at a park here in illinois, sitting on both axles. took quite a bit of effort to jank me out, now the front stock towhook is crooked, and steering probably needs a good aligment. my truck is almost bone stock, and i checked all the linkages. now i get some wobble when breaking on the highway(disks might also be at foult), most powerful around 50mph. im new to offroading, so unluckily for my jeep it takes most of the abuse.

to start with the stock stabilizer is a POS right out of the box... if ya don't have any obviously bad joints, chances are if ya replace it with a good aftermarket one, the wobble will go away... generally it's what we call a bandaid tho for a stocker its a little different story...

well, i was thinking that im going to start off with an aligment. then stabalizer and front shocks if it persists. if that doesnt fix it, im just going to wait unitl i (eventually) lift it.

I had a broken ujoint in the driver's side axle shaft. needed a new stub shaft and the joint. stu-offroad.com kicks ass.

yes it does...

if you wheel hard, get some upgraded shafts like superior, yukon or longfeld.. the stockers will just continue to break and stretch..
