Hello everyone, I'm new to this online forum chatting, but I was wondering what brand of tires I should put on my Jeep Cherokee. I am quite the typical "girl" when it comes to driving in the rain, snow, esp. ice - absolutely hate it. I know that pretty much nothing helps on ice but what would be a great tire for a decent price for rain and snow? I nearly lost control of my cherokee wed night driving home on the wet leaves. I do have all season tires on now but obviously they really do no justice in the rain. I am not looking to offroad for my wonderful cherokee has catalitic converter issues as well as a ton of rust underneath. I love my tank of a vehicle, I would like to get rid of it but that is not an option financially right now. So does anyone have any suggestions as far as tires? Any other advice dealing with exhaust and start-up problems is welcomed as well

Sincerely,
LoveHateMyCherokee.

I like the bf goodrich all terrain.  They do pretty good for the types of driving you are talking about.

Hey-
I've had BFG Mud Terrains, & All Terrains. BFG is a great tire, has a great lifespan. The only thing about the All Terrains is that they held on to small rocks/stones. If you're trying to save money, the Cooper Discoverer ATR is a decent all season tire.

i like the bfg's as well. my wifes tj is wearing those. my yj is shod with a set of coopers, they work nice too. another tire that i researched is the trxus sts (looks kinda like a tiger stripe tread) they have good road manners and do well in loose dirt and snow, ya gotta spin them in the mud to clear them tho. pretty much any kind of good all terrain tire will be better than the all season car tires

id go with some mastercraft msr's. its a winter tire, it would do great in the crappy weather, traction a++. not too expensive either. then just leave them on, and they will be worn out just in time to get a nice new set next year.
