I have decided to go with the ome suspension. When I went to order it(from quadratec) it has the choice of soft, medium, or Heavy Duty. Which one would work best with a hard top and new front and rear bumpers???

Now on to my question. When I turn the wheel to the left, there is a sudden jerk of the vehicle. I suspect the control arm bushings need replaced. What is the difference between Rubber and Poly type bushings. What are the pro's and con's of each. Which am I going to be happier with???

Thanks for all your help. I needed something to spend my combat pay on, might as well be on something that will bring me hours of enjoyment( and headaches too I'm sure ).

Heavy load springs for the hard top and the 4.0L. Especially with heavy bumpers.

Stay away from poly. They ride harsher and are not as quiet as OE rubber. Poly will stiffen up the suspension and make it handle like a Corvette. Not really. But that's the theory. Stick with rubber!

I assume bushings from any auto store will suffice or will I need to go to a dealership to get a OEM type replacement??

They have to be pressed in and out, so if you don't have a press you'll have to send them out to a front end alignment shop. They can also get the propper bushings for you. You can remove the arms your self and then just take the arms up to the shop. Call around for prices. There will be a big difference.
