Hey this is my first post... I came here cause where else would i find people that know more bout jeeps! Well anyways, I went off-road and splashed engine first into a deep dark water hole...the engine sucked water and i had to be towed home, but after draining all the fluids a couple times the jeep runs but seems to lack power and and the gas mileage dropped from 18 to bout 11 mpg... Also the jeep seems to smooth out and have a really noticeable power increase at 3,000 rpm. When I went to AutoZone and had the computer scanned it said "left bank running lean" or something to that effect... So guys, any ideas? I'd really appreciate any help?

If you have an automatic, you have to get the fluid out of the torque converter. Just changing the trans fluid wont do it.
What "P0000" diagnostic code are you getting. Turn the ignition key on-off-on-off-on with out starting. The diagnostic code will display in the odometer.

i have the 2.5l 4 popper with the manual transmission... I tried to get the code by turning the key on and off a few times but the code wouldn't come up. maybe i did something wrong? Is there any other special conditions i need for the odo to show the code?

I was able to make something show up on the odometer, it was 2.4, i think that was the firmware version, but after that step the gauges would just go into a self test and not wanna show me any error code or the check engine light would not blink or anything... what do you guys think?
