I have a Wrangler S (no back seat or bumperettes (Toledoans...go figure)). Then by happenstance (I move to SLC, Utah) and one of my friends has a back seat (factory fold and tumble). I just got a set of brackets. This is  all I need to know... which way do the brackets bolt down? does the "bump side" go fore or aft?...do the prongs point driver or passenger?

ok, the camera's not working so i'll describe it as best i can. the front brackets that the seat folds on mount with the D shape forward and the straight edge on the inside (the angled edge out towards the wheel wells). the seat release mounts on the drivers side and the rear catch mounts to the passenger side (both of them with their openings facing the rear. hope this helps, i'll have to scrounge up some batteries for my camera if you need pix.

ok, I hope you only got a look at the passenger side and described that one...because I hate getting duped, lol. I have a "matching pair" of mounting brackets. They are shaped exactly the same. It seems like they should match exactly so that you slide the seat to one side (passenger, if mounted with both the D shapes forward) after pulling out the push pins to easily remove the seat. Every (several) pic I've seen of the mounts have two matching mounts. The passenger one would be as you describe, D shape forward, the straight side on the inside; indent side with the pin toward the wheel well, but the driver side one would be opposite, straight side toward the wheel well and notched side with the pin in.

a set of seat mounts like mine on ebay

I'm just looking to confirm,
Thanks

At this point I would have given up and welded it to the tub.
I break stuff.

seat worked fine,
then someone stole it.
The slave cyl blew up. I had already replaced it once (with that one they had at autozone) a couple years ago, so I bought a TJ. Wouldn't have passed inspection in UT anyway, lol.
