ive got a 35in mud rover on a mt classic II rim on my stock tire carrier. i removed the third brake light and put an led one in the center of the rim. do i need an aftermarket tire carrier to handle the extra weight? i also have a warn rock crawler rear bumber. thanks

I would say that if the tire is mounted to the door. Yes, If you dont want a sagging rear door and possibly bent sheet metal, think of it this way say you pick up your 35"wheel its heavy right? Ok now have somone climb a ladder and drop the same tire and you catch it.its alot heavier when you have to stop the momentum,samething applies to your tire carrier when your bounching across rocks ,my wifes jeep (07 wrangler x has the metric equivalent of a mickey thompson baja mtz 35 and with her spare on the door in 20,000 miles the door was sagging, so i would personally mount it off the bumper, if im not mistaken they make a tire carrier for that bumper.

got ya. theres a guy selling one on craigslist but i cant get ahold of him. i thought i would need one but im using the stock one till i find one to put on there. thanks for your info
