can ne1 tell me if i can put a 4 speed auto trans from a 93 xj into a 92 wrangler with a 3 speed auto  

It is a lot of work but can be done. The XJ has a AW4 and is electroinc, so you have to feed the transmission control unit (TCM) with the right signals to control shifting. You'll also need to get the TCM from the vehicle that the AW4 is comming from.

It's a little long in length, so you'll probably need a SYE and both front and rear drive shafts. You'll also have to match the TC input gear with the AW4 output shaft length and spline count. By '92 I think all the auto trannys behind the 4.0L had the 23 spline long setup, but you'll only know after you get your 999 pulled out.
