hey there...
I have replaced the antenna of my car with a after market kit. Fm radio works ok but the am radio is all static ?
What to do?

maybe install a static suppressor on the power lead going into your radio. am stations generally are tough to recieve, unless they're on a blow torch frequency.

the am loop antenna is internal in a car stereo... it works off a different principal then the FM side of the stereo... so you've likely either got a loose ground somewhere in the vehicle that is creating radio interference, or your am loop is faulty or fried... try picking up the station without the engine running... just the accessories running...
