So i got a used tranny put into my jeep, 45k miles already on it. well my issue is, it doesnt feel like it use to... it feels like it is "sliding" into gear, especially when under load. like pulling out at a red light on a hill or pulling out quickly. is this something still wrong, or does it just need adjusted? i dont know if the torque converter was replaced or not. and the fluid level is good to go, and it is pretty red color. so i dont know what to do, any help would be awesome...

seals get hard over time especially from sitting, ya can dump in a can of trans-x to soften em up, if it's kickin down to passing gear properly the adjustment should be fine,

another consideration is a trans-go shift kit which will reprogram it to be firm and regulate the pressures better.

don't get a reprograming shift kit confused with a performance shift kit, the performance kits can shorten the life of the tranny and drivetrain, yep it's fun to scratch tires goin into 2nd but not for the rear differential.

well i called my mechanic about this "sliding" into gear thing, and he said bring it on monday and they will check it out... i offered maybe it just needs adjusted, he didnt say anything to that... its just it doesnt shift correctly. like it did before the original tranny went...so, the bottom line is that i dont trust this jeep anymore, and if it comes back the same way, its gone... i dont care how upside down i get on a new car, its gone...
