I have a 4 door 08 wrangler unlimted which I just put a 3" lift on. It has factory BFG KM tires I would like to change the tires to 12.50/35/17 BFG KM 2's they look like they would be a great offroad tire. But I do a lot of highway driving and am wondering if anyone knows how the road noise will be with this tire design. On a scale of 1-10 with the factory KM tires at a 4 what would the KM 2's rate. Thanks

pm jeepnut, if his e-mail is displayed send him one...
he's got km2's.
I haven't rode in anything with em yet. I doubt they're noisy.

I put about 15k on my 33x10.50 BFG KMs. When they were new, about 5k, they were really quiet. I didn't rotate them the first 5k. Then they got a little cuppy noise. I started rotating them every 3k and they acually got pretty quiet again.
I now have a set of 315/75/16 BFG KM2s. They only have about 1k on them, but they are just as quiet as the KMs that came off, maybe even more so. I plan to rotate them at least every 3k, that really makes a difference.
Also, my toe got wacked a little. Didn't make any difference driving, but the KMs got real noisy (WaWaWAWA). Re-set the toe and they got real quiet again. FYI.

Not alot of road noise. Good road manners. So far so good. Got about 1k miles so we'll see.
When you're finished....you're done
