My Grand Cherokee 4.0L 97' got some problem with the Auto Gear Transmission??? ![]() it some time runs only started with 2nd gear......and when 2nd gear to 3rd gear always not in time...like shaking between it???? Please advice....!TQ!

the shuttle....
the convertor clutch can cause it.

sorry, do you mean have to dismantle the auto gear box to repare it?

well, the convertor could be bad or the solonoid that controls the lockup may be the cause.
take it in and have a diagnosis ran on it ...
does it stop by turning off the OD?

no,it won't stop by turning off the OD...but only better abit!
the convertor mean between gear and gear right?
mean have to find a gear box specialise for help right?
then does it cause to the Transfer case problem? the chain loose? ![]()

the convertor takes the place of a clutch in a standard tranny, and drives the hydraulic oil pump to make the auto function, it should show up on a diagnostic.
the OD switch turns off the fourth gear but wont' prevent the convertor from locking in 3rd.
its hard to say with having it checked and serviced.s
